Invisalign and Clear Braces
The road to straighter teeth is not always paved with metal!
Invisalign® is a patented technology designed to straighten teeth without braces. Just as traditional braces move teeth in small steps over time, so does Invisalign®. The Invisalign® system utilizes an advanced 3D computer graphics technology that works in tandem with the science of orthodontics.
What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign® uses a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. If it is determined that you are a good candidate for Invisalign®, a plan is created to give you a custom-made smile that is distinctly you.
The process begins with precise treatment instructions from the orthodontist. These instructions are translated into 3D graphics technology to create a series of precision calculated clear teeth aligners. The aligners are only removed for brushing, flossing and eating. Every 2 weeks, a new – slightly modified aligner replaces the prior one causing the teeth to shift into their custom calibrated position.
How long does Invisalign take?
Wear each set of Aligners for 2-3 weeks
- Remove Aligners only to eat, drink, brush and floss
- Your teeth will move gradually each week
- Visit us every 8 to 10 weeks for progress checks
- Total treatment time averages 6 to 18 months
- Average number of Aligners is between 10 and 30
Invisalign® has been tested and proven to be effective in clinical research. It is a system used in orthodontic practices nationwide.
