CoronaVirus Update

Mar 12, 2020

Dear Hersch Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics Family,

Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our world.

While there are documented cases in California, the number of cases in Orange County and specifically Newport Beach is low. Therefore, our risk of infection remains low. Our office is dedicated to understanding how it affects our patients, employees, and doctors, and then making necessary adjustments to our office routine.

We have one simple objective that guides us: keeping you, our patients, as well as our employees safe. This has been at the center of our conversations every step of the way. With that in mind, we wanted to keep you abreast of our response to the threat of the coronavirus.

We take pride in our infection control, and the sterilization and disinfection processes we have always utilized are effective against COVID-19. Aside from our standard infection control protocols, we have ramped up cleaning and disinfection in the common areas of our office and are continuing to offer hand sanitizer throughout the office.

We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. We have shared specific instructions with our employees on the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick. We also ask our patients to help us in containing any potential spread by rescheduling your appointments without penalty if you feel unwell or feverish.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and do all we can to protect our patient family.

Sincerely, Drs. Hersch, Harrison, Goodman & Butler
